As the Thames ices over and the country grinds to a halt, a scientist is found murdered in the north of London, and the globetrotters are called in to investigate the theft of a mysterious device. What they find is a conspiracy that brings the British Empire to the brink of war! 

In this adventure, the globetrotters again encounter the mysterious Commonist League, anarchists hell-bent on ushering in revolution through a cataclysmic war, a violent offshoot of the scientific utopian Cosmist League. This time, the globetrotters uncover assassination, murder, and terrorist atrocities reaching to the highest levels of society.

Triple Ace Games hat mit dem Globetrotter's Guide to the Ancient World den nächsten Band der Regionalreihe veröffentlicht: Der Nahe Osten sowie Indien auf übersichtlichen 20 Seiten.

Globetrotter's Guide to Additional Information (gratis)

Triple Ace Games hat wieder einmal ein Freebie für das Hollow Earth Expedition kompatible Ubiquity Setting "Leagues of Adventure" veröffentlicht. Das dreiseitige PDF enthält mit dem Circle of Nannies und der Courier's Guild zwei neue Leagues. Dazu gibt es Ubiquity-Spielwerte  für einige berühmte Personen aus Literatur und Film, die man durchaus einmal in einem Abenteuer auftauchen lassen kann. Enthalten sind Allan Quatermain, Mr. Hyde, Dorian Gray, Mina Harker, Nemo, Rodney Skinner sowie Tom Sawyer. Und zu guter Letzt gibt es noch eine (leider recht knappe) Auflistung von britischen Colleges, Fachrichtungen und den abschlusskennzeichnenden Kürzeln, die nach dem Namen geführt werden. Sowohl für die Gestaltung von NSC als auch für den Charakterhintergrund durchaus brauchbar. Ein MRCP hat also am Royal College of Physicians Medizin studiert.

Gestern hat Triple Ace Games die für die kommenden Monate geplante Weltreise begonnen und den "Globetrotter's Guide to the Far East" veröffentlicht. Die 20 seitige PDF-Datei aus der Feder von Paul "Wiggy" Wade-Williams ist für $ 4,99 erhältlich.

Beliebtestes Ubiquity-System: Das Umfrageergebnis

Als Erstes möchte ich den 57 Lesern danken, die an der Umfrage teilgenommen haben. Das Ergebnis stellt keine Überraschung dar. Naturgemäß liegen die beiden Settings vorne, die in deutscher Übersetzung erhältlich sind. Die Platzierungen lauten:

Umfrage gestoppt

Ich habe mich heute entschlossen, die Umfrage nach dem beliebtesten Ubiquity-System zu stoppen. Kurze Zeit nach Beginn der Umfrage wurden bereits 16 Teilnehmer angezeigt, rund eine Stunde später nur noch vier, wenige Stunde später neun, und seit heute morgen werden konstant null abgegebene Stimmen angezeigt.

Eine Recherche ergab, dass seit dem 26. Oktober zahlreiche Blogs über dieses Problem des Umfragen-Gadgets von Blogger berichten. Sobald Google das Problem in den Griff bekommen hat, werde ich diese Umfrage neu auflegen.

Die Zwischenergebnisse bei den Abfragen mit 16, vier und neun Teilnehmern lassen sich kurz zusammenfassen. Gemeinsam vorne mit einem erheblichen Abstand auf die übrigen drei Systeme befanden sich Hollow Earth Expedition und Space: 1889, was angesichts der Tatsache, dass beide Systeme auf deutsch vorliegen, nicht überraschen dürfte. Ich hatte dabei den Eindruck, dass Hollow Earth Expedition leicht vorne lag. Auch die drei übrigen Systeme lagen recht dicht beieinander, tendenziell lag wohl All For One vor Desolation, während Leagues of Adventure und Daring Tales of Adventure das Schlusslicht bildeten.

Weitere Globetrotter's Guides angekündigt

Erst gestern hatte ich berichtet, daß Triple Ace Games für Dezember 2012 den Band "Globetrotter's Guide to the Far East" für Leagues of Adventure angekündigt hat. Heute hat Paul "Wiggy" Wade-Williams noch ein paar Schippen drauf gelegt. Der "Globetrotter's Guide to the Far East" ist nur der Auftakt einer Weltreise im monatlichen Rythmus. Im Januar folgt der "Globetrotter's Guide to Afrika", im Februar der "Globetrotter's Guide to Europe", im März der "Globetrotter's Guide to the Near East" und im April der "Globetrotter's Guide to America". Danach sollen weitere "Globetrotter's Guides" mit nicht geographiebezogenen Themen sowie Abenteuer folgen. 

Ich freue mich schon auf die Reise. Durch den nahen Osten nach Afrika, von dort nach Europa und durch den fernen Osten nach Amerika. Das alles in fünf Monaten ist ambitioniert, aber es ging ja auch scho in 80 Tagen.

Halloween Sale bei Triple Ace Games

Triple Ace Games führt derzeit einen großen Halloween Sale durch. Beginnend am 24. Oktober 2012 gibt es sowohl im verlagseigenen Triple Ace Games Store als auch bei DriveThruRPG für zwei Wochen einen Rabatt von 30% auf alle Produkte, also sowohl gedruckte Bücher als auch pdf-Dateien. Besonders interessant sind vom Thema dieses Blogs her natürlich das viktorianische Pulp-Rollenspiel "Leagues of Adventure" und das Musketier-Rollenspiel "All for One - Regime Diabolique". Triple Ace Games hat ein neues Supplement für Leagues of Adventure veröffentlicht: den "Globetrotter's Guide to Unusual Places". Es handelt sich um eine reine pdf-Veröffentlichung, das 20seitige Dokument kostet $ 4,99 und ist voll kompatibel zu Hollow Earth Expedition. Erhältlich ist das Dokument bei DriveThruRPG. 101 Adventure Seeds

Triple Ace Games hat für das viktorianische Pulp-Rollenspiel Leagues of Adventure ein 10seitiges kostenloses pdf-Dokument zum Download bereitgestellt. "101 Adventure Seeds" beinhaltet zum einen 101 kurze Abenteuerideen, desweiteren einen Zufallsgenerator für die Benennung von Artefakten mittels eines Kartenspiels. Insbesondere bei den Abenteuerideen gibt es einige recht abgefahrene Vorschläge. Bei mir hat "101 Adventure Seeds" jedenfalls dazu geführt, dass Leagues of Adventure in der Liste der geplanten Anschaffungen ein Stück nach oben gerutscht ist. Zudem gibt es eine 30seitige Preview zu Leagues of Adventure.
