Nights of the Crusades jetzt auch für Pathfinder

Im Dezember hatte ich hier auf ubiHEX das kostenlose Rollenspiel "Nights of the Crusades" vorgestellt. Dazu gibt es jetzt Neuigkeiten, die insbesondere für Pathfinder-Spieler interessant sein dürften. Aetheric Dreams hat diese Woche eine "Nights of the Crusades"-Version für Pathfinder online gestellt. Diese ist leider nicht kostenlos, das 64 seitige PDF ist aktuell zum Einführungspreis von $ 6,00 (statt $ 8,00) erhältlich.

Nights of the Crusades is a roleplaying game set in a land and time that is familiar on the surface, but within its cracks lie tales of alchemy, madness and violence. It is a world that could have happened and then been lost to barbarity and time. Players take on characters that can explore its lands and plunder them for wealth, glory or knowledge. The world is rife with dark cults, creatures that dwell in unseen places and bloodthirsty warriors. This is a time when anyone’s thoughts, from king to slave, are enough to condemn them to death and hell, and many are they that will line up to cheer the execution. 

The setting of Nights of the Crusades is a mixture of the One Thousand and One Nights, the history surrounding the Crusades and both modern and ancient tales of terror. This is a Pathfinder Compatible adaptation that includes details of the setting, how to use the Pathfinder rules to run a campaign and three new classes: 

- The Caravan Merchant, an intrepid explorer that aids a group though a chest filled with exotic treasures;- The Orator, who commands a small group of followers and inspires allies through intense speeches; and,- The Scholar, a knowledge-seeker who walks the path of invention, lore, medicine or a combination of the three; As well as 2 monsters and an adventure to launch you into the world of Nights of the Crusades.

Pure Steam ist ein Pathfinder-kompatibles Steampunk Rollenspiel-Setting, dass weniger vom viktorianischen England denn von den USA geprägt ist. Aktuell läuft der Beta Test. Die 96seitige Betaversion kann auf DriveThruRPG kostenlos geladen werden.

In the age of steam, coal is king. 

Pure Steam is a steampunk campaign setting compatible with the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. This isn’t your grandma’s steampunk. Ulisses hat erfreulich ausführlich seine Pathfinder-Produktplanung für 2013 offengelegt. Auch wenn die genannten Veröffentlichungstermine "nicht in Stein gemeisselt sind", wie man bei Ulisses betont, dürfte bei einem Blick auf die Agenda klar sein, dass Pathfinder in Deutschland eine Erfolgsgeschichte ist und entsprechende Unterstützung seitens Ulisses erfährt. Noch vier Tage Zeit, um dabei zu sein. Ich habe noch keinen Kauf einer Frog God-Publikation bereut.

Pathfinder Online auf Kickstarter

Es sieht nicht gut aus für Pathfinder Online. Sechs Tage vor Ende fehlen dem Kickstarter-Projekt immer noch über $ 350.000. Auch reine Pathfinder Pen & Paper Spieler sollten überlegen,  ob sie das Projekt nicht backen wollen, gibt es doch auch eine Menge Material für sie. Ab dem Crowdforger Level ($ 100) gibt es ein umfangreiches PDF-Paket dazu, welches PDFs im Verkaufswert von $ 230 beinhaltet.
